Highlighted Projects: Equipment Relocation Logistics

WRC is very experienced at coordinating railroad equipment relocation. Oftentimes, this involves equipment that cannot be moved under its own power on the general railroad system, or is equipment that is in locations no longer connected to the general railroad system. Here are some examples.

Laramie Historic Depot – Laramie, WY

In February 2011, WRC was asked to assist in the movement of four pieces of railroad equipment from separate locations in Laramie, WY to the Laramie Historic Depot. These items include UP Consolidation (2-8-0) No. 535, a snow plow, a crew bunk car, and a caboose. Assembled together in one place they represent what might have been a typical snow plow train during the steam era.

WRC utilized volunteer help and negotiated the best rates possible for cranes and trucks, all in an effort to keep costs to a minimum.
