Wasatch Railroad Contractors uses in-house labor for the design and maintenance of this web site. Currently, this is the fourth major design implemented by the WRC Information Technology team.
This site is best viewed with a horizontal screen resolution of about 1,200 pixels wide or more. This site is also enriched with CSS Level 3 formatting. We recommend using Firefox version 4 or newer to browse this web site to enjoy all of the visual features contained on this site. As always, Firefox is a free download for Windows, Mac, and other platforms.
The web site is managed by WordPress version 3.3.1. WordPress is a robust open source software package for blogs and content management featuring several Web 2.0 technologies, such as: rich text editing, multiple author management, syndicated feeds, search engine optimization, and powerful plug-ins for easy customization. The current theme titled "WRC Warm Steel" is based on the versatile "Grey Opaque" theme (version 1.0.3.7) written by H.-Peter Pfeufer which was released under the GNU General Public License. The WRC IT team modified this theme to better suit the WRC brand.
Finally, the web site is served by Apache HTTP Server 2, scripted with PHP 5, and data is managed with MySQL. All three of these components work harmoniously to bring dynamic web content to our visitors.
