For new construction and major repairs, Wasatch Railroad Contractors is prepared to provide you with complete design and engineering solutions for your railroad equipment. Our skilled staff utilizes state-of-the-art design software to complete our projects.
Our Engineering Department will also review any designs or drawings submitted to make sure the design will meet or exceed the intended requirements.
We generally work with SolidWorks and .DXF/.DWG CAD formats. (Please inquire us directly about other formats.) We are also happy to take hard-copy blueprints and drawings and generate digital conversions.
If you have a specific project that you need completed, but that you have already designed, send it to us. Our fully automated plasma services allow “do-it-yourselfers” to have their own parts cut and shipped in short turn around times. WRC has cut a number of locomotive beds (frames) for model locomotives ranging in size from 7½″ gauge up to 24″ gauge. Our plasma cutting services are very unique and diverse.
